This mama wins!

Those who have been around Travis know how picky of an eater he is. and those who've seen Blake eat, knows he's not shy ;)
Well this morning was turning into another breakfast meltdown...it's hard to see your child hungry and him not want to eat a good healthy breakfast. so before it turned into a long drawn out "do you want this, or this" I thought i'd ask him if he wanted green pancakes. That was a no brainier, he didn't even have to think about it. A friend told me how her mom always put food coloring in there pancakes and I thought how fun, but instead of food coloring...lets give it a real reason to be green!
so over the summer last year I was making zucchini pancakes, and they were amazing, and Travis even loved them. So since our garden isn't producing zucchini yet, why not make SPINACH PANCAKES!!

I put a little honey on them, and they were a hit, Travis ate 2 of them, 2!!! normally its hard to get one down him, and he even washed it down with a glass of coconut milk!
either this kid was really hungry or I've might have figured out how to trick him(at least for this morning)

& ofcourse Blake approved

Goodbye Terrible 2's

Hello Thrilling 3's

We get to bring in our new years by celebrating Travis' birthday. Yep, he's a new years baby. but before I get to his birthday, I've got start with new years eve, right?

The four of us spent the day with some friends, My friend Melissa got some awesome cake making supplies for Christmas and she was ready to test them out. So she and I got busy and nearly 6hrs later came up with Travis' Thomas the tank engine cake.
the top of the cake was rice crispy treat covered in blue marshmallow fondant, and the bottom is chocolate cake covered in butter cream icing. Travis loved his cake.

nothing about bowling shoes are cute...unless they are in toddler size.

 The kids had a blast!

Travis got so shy when we all sang "happy birthday"

not to shy to blow out candles & eat cake

 waiting patiently

Present time

where did the time go?

these 3 years have gone by so fast.

Happy Birthday to my sweet boy!!

Thanks to those that got to help celebrate Travis' 3rd birthday with us.

THE UNDER DOG FIR

This dismal specimen of fraser fir was selected by me due to the merit that its level of pathetic strung my heart strings and compelled me to buy it out of mercy, denying it a death in vain. Heather was less than happy  when she seen me walking back to the truck with this poor little guy in my hand, I see the potential....

BEHOLD, there it is in all its glory,!!!! Heather my crafty wife used her talents to bring out the best of our little runt trees features. She used a ginger bread man tree skirt given to her by her late Nana not bad for only  2 feet of sparse twig and needle.

How's it going everybody!! Heather and I decided to get together and publish a blog of whats going on here in Stillwater, OK so all you friends and family can keep up with our super freaking busy and EXCITING lives!
